Welcome! I am Deanne Bouchard, principal at Sunrise R-IX. This is my twenty-fifth year in education, twenty as a K-8 building principal. This is my fifth year as the K-8 principal at Sunrise.
Many great things have been happening in the Sunrise R-IX School District. Major curriculum revisions, to reflect state and federal mandates, have been undertaken to better meet the needs of our students. This could not have been so successful without the support of the Board of Education, the addition of our Curriculum Director, the hard work of our teachers and the support of our community. Additionally, the support of the Sunrise R-IX constituency has enabled the district to make substantial improvements to the building and grounds, resulting from the voter approval of a recent bond issue.
